Aug 03,2022
KingData News: Software engineer Stephen Lacy tweeted that he had discovered that Github was being hit by a massive malware attack that affected more than 35,000 code repositories across Crypto, Golang, Pyhon, js, bash, Docker, and k8s. The malware was found to be added to npm scripts, Docker images, and installation documentation. Stephen Lacy cautions that this attack may leak multiple keys from the attacker to the attacker and recommends that users sign all commits using GPG.
